GALLERY AND TESTIMONIALS

Why do an art session? Why share parts of my life with a person I barely know?

Here’s a 6 minute video from one client talking about the experience and the benefits of investing in an art session.

Polly’s goal as an artist was to capture me as I came to her, with the story I decided to tell. Her art speaks to her gift of listening, and to hear “what stands behind.” Instead of an artistic “interpretation” of the story I told, I received a photograph that told me she truly heard me, and honored me in a way that was as if I were the artist myself; it was a collaborative project. She has given me a true gift- the gift of knowing myself and loving myself more.

I love my piece of art. It feels like pure ME. I hung it in my room where I can see it every day. It reminds me of the things I like best about myself and makes me feel strong and more beautiful when I look at it. The space Polly creates for the session is an oasis from the world and from everyday life. It’s an hour that’s just for you, and she is present to guide your experience and witness it. Polly’s space is cozy and welcoming and so is Polly herself. The session was a beautiful time to just be me and allow whatever I was feeling. Accepting whatever came up, whatever I felt in connection with my memories, was so powerful. I loved feeling my feelings in a safe and non-judgmental environment and being heard. It was a special experience in itself, before even seeing the art. Thank you, Polly, for this special gift!

My time with Polly allowed me to explore my life’s most critical experiences in an intensely vivid way. It touched and awoke the deepest parts of my being. It was very uplifting to sincerely share who I am.

For me, this gift from my daughter (the session with Polly was given as a gift) has been a loving, meaningful gift; cathartic.

This (art) is what I wake up to every morning. I look at it and read it for my inspiration to do another day. Not tomorrow but today, because today is all that there is!

When I sat down with Polly, my story poured out of me and I completely attribute that happening to Polly’s presence… she was warm, welcoming and nonjudgemental. She just exuded compassion. I felt a great relief after getting my story out, crying and laughing at various moments. A while later she brought me a beautiful framed photograph of a flower that represented all of those losses encapsulated in a single, unique expression. I cherish that session and hold it in my heart. The flower painting hangs at my work where it reminds me every day to honor my losses and look forward to a hopeful and happy future. Thank you Polly!
